Bus rides to Macritchie!

Heres the deal, it costs about $80 per trip for a bus ride to mac. Taking next year’s schedule into consideration, if we take the bus on 4 weekdays, thats $320.

Ms Zhu wants to know if you guys are agreeable to this price (I’m guessing you’re not), so she wants to know if everyone is okay with using their edusave to pay for this.

For those who do not have sufficient funds in their edusave accounts, you have to pay for your share of the cost(about $80/30=$2.67 per trip, almost the same as a cab ride)

I think its only fair that we split the cost amongst all of us for those who cannot use their edusave to pay.

This is only a suggestion, so if you guys are agreeable to it, let me know.

There is one thing though, Ms Zhu will try to push for the cost of these rides to be included in next year’s budget.

So lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for the freebie!

Shirt/Tank Designs

Hey guys, take a look at the girls’ proposed designs and feedback what you think. If you can come up with a design you think is better please do so and email it to me so I can put it up here.

‘Hey Jarrod, Crystal here. Apparently Ms Zhu said the design for the shirt is too simple/plain, and wants Yanling to draw/design something. Haha, but we girls think that the shirt is fine as it is. If you guys like the shirt/jersey, we can remove the ’girls’ and make it a common Canoe tee/jersey design. Yup.’

Formal Dinner ‘09

Ok guys the formal dinner for this year has been confirmed, it’ll be on 4th september, which is the school’s teachers day celebrations, at Swissotel Merchant Court.

The exact address is 20 Merchant rd for the taxi people. For the MRT people, the hotel is right next to Clarke Quay MRT station, so just take a train there and turn left when you come out. For the bus people, the bus services to the hotel are
2, 12, 33, 51, 54, 63, 80, 124, 145, 147, 166 and 197
alight at the bustop outside Clarke Quay MRT and from there it’s idiot-proof. If you’re lost, you can call kenny who can empathise with you. Alternatively, you can call up PAPkindergartens at 62517736 to discuss about enrolment in nursery for you next year.

Meeting time is 645 pm at the hotel lobby, and min attire is smart casual. Don’t turn up in berms and crocs and call it fashion, we will slap you. Bring along your cameras and whatever you think is necessary. Lastly, for some of you (e.g. kenny/Quoc), please try to control yourselves should the girls decide to dress provocatively. Keep your line of vision above shoulder level to make this a wholesome night of fun and laughter.

rule 1 of gym: dont stop sweating

good news guys! ignore everything in the last post except the part about helping  check whether the sheds are locked.

the almighty huitong gave us a chance so no punishment this time

i know all the k/c guys were brain dead after rowing 20/14km today and while still in our state of blurness/tiredness, WE LEFT THE BAG SHED UNLOCKED!

ive also heard that joey is going to get punished for this(from huitong) ouch.

Some of you  are already probably dying to share his misery because of the intricate bonds we share as one AC canoeing family… so WE WILL!

it’s not so nice to see our dear QM punished for something everyone(k guys) overlooked.

so when joey gets the punishment, we shall do it as a team

oh and im sorry i forgot to check whether the shed was locked, so you can blame it on me! (sounds like akon lyrics)

I shall give myself some push ups and dont worry you guys wont have to share it.

to end off, PLEASE TRY AND HELP TO CHECK IF THE SHEDS ARE LOCKED!
